Catch & Release stream Access. The private stream access is managed as catch-and-release only.
What types of hooks are allowed?
Only barbless, single hooks can be used. Barbed and Treble hooks are not allowed.
What is the cost to fish at the private stream access for a non guest?
Non – guests may purchase a single day permit at the property office. Permits are managed on a first come/first server basic and stream usage.

Both. We recommend having waders on at all times.
What type of bait is allowed?
Only traditional fly fishing flies and artificial spinning lures or approved artificial lures may be used. We recommend Trout Magnet, and/or Spinners without treble hooks. No artificial lures with scent are allowed. No Gulp scented products are allowed. No scented salmon eggs or power bait.
Do you have to have a permit to fish at the stream?
Yes, a Harman’s permit is required and must be viewable from a distance in order to fish at the stream. In 2023 a permit fee will be required. Why? Harman’s is attempting to determine how many fishermen are on property at one time and how many per cabin. By charging a minimal fee, we will be able to determine the best management practices for our guests in the future.
What weight fly rod do you recommend?
The standard rod used by our customer’s is a 9 ft 5 wt. Our trout range from 1 1/2 lbs to 10 lbs.
Is a net recommended?
A net is mandatory for fishing at Harman’s. The net is used to keep the trout in/over the water and off the bank of the stream.
