No. You can smoke outside.

What do you provide?
We provide the towels washcloths, bed linens, blankets, pillows, toilet
paper, pots, pans, and cooking utensils for use in the cabin. (You must provide your own towels for at the river.)
What do we need to bring?
You need to bring personal soaps, shampoo, dish washing(dawn), Cascade(dish
washer), laundry detergent, hair dryer, iron, salt, pepper, foil, sugar, paper plates, paper towels, napkins, condiments,
and etc. We sell most items in the Gift Shop.

OCCUPANCY AND GUESTS |

Can we bring extra people?
Each cabin has a maximum occupancy or maximum number of people allowed
to spend the night at the cabin.
Can we have cabin guests?
Each cabin has a maximum occupancy. A minimum number of guests from outside
the property can be at the property. Inform the office of these guests.
Can outside fishing guest fish the property?
No outside fishing guests are allowed.
Do you allow pets?
Yes, cabin #19 is our only pet friendly cabin.
No pets are allowed on the main property or in a cabin at the Hopeville Canyon location (cabins 1-20 or cabin 17)
Can we have a reunion, event, or wedding at the property?
Yes. All events must be managed thru the office.
What if we arrive after the office is closed?
Follow the directions that are on your confirmation letter. You will find
your cabin unlocked and the key on the kitchen table. There will also be paperwork in the cabin with your name
on it. You can stop by the office the next day to make your final payment and to sign a hot tub paper, if applicable.
Can we check in early?
On occasions properties will be available early. The absolute earliest
someone can check into a cabin is 1:00.
Can fishing guest arrive early?
Fishing guests cannot arrive at the property to fish before checking in
absolute earliest 1PM.
What if we want to check out late?
Checkout is at 11AM. If you wish to checkout later, the cabin must not
be booked the next day; you must pre-arrange with the office; a fee of $50.00 will be assessed.

Does each cabin have its own outdoor grill?
Yes, however we do not provide the charcoal. We do sell it in our Gift
Shop.
Are the cabins heated other than the fireplace?
Yes. Our cabins have electric heat and or a heat pump.
Do the cabins have A/C?
Yes, each cabin has A/C.
What is the bed configuration of each cabin?
#1 The Rainbow Trout has 1 King, 1 Queen, and 2 Twins.
#2 Smallmouth Bass has 2 Queens.
#3 Whitetail Deer has 2 Queens and 2 Twins.
#4 Golden Trout has 1 Queen.
#5 Wild Turkey has 1 Queen.
#6 Brook Trout has 1 Queen.
#7 Black Bear has 1 Queen and 2 Twins.
#8 Speedy's Retreat has 1 King and 1 Full.
#9 Eagle's Nest has 1 Queen and 2 Twins.

Does each cabin have Wi-Fi?
Each cabin has access to Wi-Fi; some cabins do not have the modem/router
in the cabin; but access via another cabin's Wi-Fi is allowed.
All access points are public; and do not have passwords.
Does each cabin have a phone?
The following cabins have phones.
They are 1, 4, 8, 9, 11, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20.
A general use phone can be accessed at the office on the outside wall.
Are the fireplace(s) wood burning?
All cabin fireplaces have gas log. They work with a light switch/timer.
Does each cabin have its own outdoor fire pit?
No. We are trying to provide a private fire pit for each cabin. We do
have common fire pits located in central areas of the cabin lot. Presently, the cabins that have a fire pits are
1, 2, 3, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17 and 19.
Do you have outside furniture?
Yes, but you may want to bring some additional outside furniture/chairs.
Are all the cabins along the river or riverfront?
Yes.
Can fishing guests arrive early?
Fishing guests cannot arrive at the property to fish before checking in
1:00 at the absolute earliest.
Can fishing guest stay late?
Fishing guests cannot stay after 11AM checkout, unless it is cleared by
the office. This will be managed on a per request basis.
Can outside fishing guest fish the property?
No outside fishing guests are allowed.
Can we keep the fish we catch?
No. The private stream access at the cabins is managed as a catch and
release; no bait fishing stream. The trout caught must be released immediately.
Do I need a WV fishing license?
Yes. You will also need a trout stamp and conservation stamp.
Where can I purchase a WV fishing license?
Online at www.wvdnr.gov or Smoke Hole Caverns (2 miles). We recommend
purchasing them online (must customers typically purchase daily, not annual) before you arrive.
What are the fishing rules?
Catch and Release only

The following rules are being modified to increase our trout survival rate after being caught.
** New 2011 - No treble hooks (3 hook combos or multiple hook combs)
No bait fishing only artificial
** New 2011 - must have a "fishing net" and attempt to net the trout.
What fly fishing supplies do you have? (Expanding 2011)

What do you have at your gift shop?

Do wireless phones work in the area?
No. The closest place to pickup service is 5 miles east of the property
toward Petersburg, WV.
Do I need to bring my own firewood?
We do not provide the firewood. We do sell it at our Gift Shop.
What is your actual physical mailing address?
HC 59 Box 1412, Cabins, WV, 26855. However GPS and MapQuest does not like
this address. We advise you to use the directions that are located on our website under the "location"
link.
Are there grocery stores nearby? Yes.
(a) 1 mile away is a small country store.
(b) 12 miles away in Petersburg, WV, there is a Foodland grocery store
(c) 25 miles away in Moorefield, WV is the nearest Wal-Mart.
Are there restaurants nearby?
The closest restaurant is 5 miles away. There are other family restaurants
and fast food places in Petersburg (12 miles), Seneca Rocks (12 miles) or Moorefield (25 miles).
Do you have a pool?
No. Our guests can swim, tube, raft, or canoe in the river at the cabins.
What is the difference between an indoor Jacuzzi and an outdoor hot tub?
The indoor Jacuzzi is similar to a big bathtub with jets. You fill it
up with water each time you use it. An outdoor hot tub is filled with water at all times and is treated with chemicals
like a swimming pool.
