How many Trout on this trip?

There were two 4lb.’ers landed within our group and would venture to guess 4-5 other of that size that broke us off. 

 

We got 35 between 2 guys on Thur evening from 5:30-9pm. 

 

Friday was very hard since it was somewhat blown however the magnet and spinners saved the day with about 35 fish between the three of us.  Saturday was better although still turned a lot with magnet and spinner.  The evening hatch on Sat was great with BWO, Sulphur, March Brown and Yellow Sally coming off with a fever pitch of rises from 8-9pm. 

 

Total for Saturday was more like 45-55 for the three of us. 

 

Sun fishing was great all around, nymphing with soft hackle pheasant tail size 12-16.  Then from about 6 pm on we all switched to dries with another fever pitch of rises from 8-9 pm.  Sunday total was probably more like 60 +, lost count kind of a day.  I think if the weather was more cooperative we would have done better but clearly the best option was at Harman’s.

 

I will be bringing my family back in late June.
